Community Assistance

Vincentians see the face of Christ in those we serve. Apply for Assistance

SVdP Plymouth Outreach Mission

St. Vincent de Paul Plymouth Outreach offers and provides services to our community. Through prayer, financial assistance, counseling, mentoring, as well as, in-kind help through our Community Store (VINNIES), we help people in need. Regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, or religion; Vincentians see the face of Christ in those we serve. Monies raised through your gifts, donations, and store patronage bring support to the programs that help families in crisis and guide them to the road of self-sufficiency.

In times of crisis, no one will be turned away. This personal involvement makes the work of the organization unique. The Society’s work is to provide help, while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served.

Organized locally, members witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. We serve the following Sheboygan County communities: Plymouth, Elkhart Lake, Greenbush, Glenbeulah, Cascade, and Waldo. People needing assistance will need to directly contact the SVDP Plymouth Outreach Department at 920-892-4913 or by email outreach@svdpplymouth.org for questions.

You may submit an Application for Assistance for yourself by clicking here. If you are located outside the communities we serve in Sheboygan County, contact St. Vincent de Paul Sheboygan at 920-457-4844.

SVdP Community Outreach Programs

Your gifts and donations, in addition, to your patronage at our SVDP Community Store, provide vital financial support to families in need. General Assistance

The first step in getting help is filling out our Application for Assistance on-line or at our store. Within a day or two, someone from our Conference Outreach Department will contact you to schedule a home visit with two of our volunteer Vincentians. During the home visit, you will have the opportunity to talk with the Vincentians regarding your personal situation. Together, we seek to find help for you and your family. Emergency financial assistance is frequently needed and may require board approval; generally a decision can be given within a few days. Other times, Vincentians will make a referral to another agency. It is not uncommon for our conference to work with other agencies to better assist people in need. In any case, it is our hope and intention to share God’s love with you during our visit and fellowship. Sometimes, we may not be able to help, but at the very least, we want you to know that we do care.

SVdP Youth Program

Our Youth program emphasizes placing value in God, themselves, their families and their future through engaging, fun and healthy activities, events and volunteering. Our activities provide children and young people from disadvantaged background with respite, filled with sports, games, arts and crafts and lots of laughter! These programs also develop new skills, self-confidence and social skills. SVdP Plymouth will support our youth in their volunteer work. SVdP Aging & Disabled

Learn how becoming a Vincentian helps the community and you! Grow spiritually, help those in need, and develop friendship at St. Vincent de Paul Plymouth. Vincentians help with home visits to people in need of assistance. They also help many of our seniors or homebound neighbors through their weekly visits to local nursing homes, assisted living homes, and private houses bringing both communion and prayer. Bringing communion to people who cannot, for various reasons, attend church on Sunday is just one of the ministires that St. Vincent de Paul is proud to sponsor. If you or someone you know is a member of St. John the Baptist and is interested in receiving communion at home or while in a local nursing home, please contact: The SJB PARISH OFFICE at 920-892-4006, contact SVDP Outreach Director at 920-892-4913 ext 101 or fill out the SVDP Volunteer Application online.
