Blessed Frederic Ozanam
was founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Frederic was a husband and father, professor and servant of the poor. Sister Rosalie Rendu, a Daughter of Charity, is considered a mentor of Frederic and of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul as she taught the first members the art of helping the poor and the sick. Frederic’s writings on social justice preceded the first social encyclical of our modern times, Re rum Nov arum.
Welcome to
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Plymouth, also known as VINNIES, is a “conference” of people from the community caring for and addressing the needs of our poor and suffering neighbors and friends.

The Plymouth St. Vincent de Paul Conference has been active in our community since 1961 but is just one of the conferences serving families within Sheboygan County. We are proud members of the a much bigger Vincentian family and belong to both the St. Vincent de Paul Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council and the St. Vincent de Paul Council of the United States. In fact, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is active throughout the world!
