About ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

OUR MISSION
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
As a refection of the whole family of God, members, who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group,
and economic level.
Vincentians are united in an international society of charity in the spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings and adherence to a basic rule.
ESTABLISHED INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an established, international organization made up of thousands of small, volunteer chapters known as “conferences“ grouped together by nation, region, and archdiocese.
Each of these conferences follows the general “rule“ of the society but, unlike most charities, can direct their “special works“ programs to the problems facing the poor and suffering in their own community. The Vincentian vocation is the call of personal service to those in need.
HELPING NEIGHBOR
Organized locally, Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity
and justice.
TEAMWORK EFFORT
St. Vincent de Paul collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.
INNOVATION
The St. Vincent de Paul team has plans to enrich the lives of many through personal teachings, experiences and education within the departments located in the Community Center and the VINNIES store.

VINNIES is a tourist attraction. People located throughout the United States visit, complimenting the charity's mission and merchandise selection. Acknowledging
St. Vincent de Paul's wishes to innovate and further improve, VINNIES hopes to strengthen its appearance by perfecting the store layout, executing proper branding, enhancing technical components and expanding the public's awareness of St. Vincent de Paul's mission and current involvement by using visual and verbal communication. St. Vincent de Paul also hopes to improve community access to meaningful, life-changing programs.

Considering the current use of this room, which mostly involves leadership meetings, it is a goal to further imagine how this room can better function as a communication outlet for leaders and employees alike. This communication will improve employee awareness, involvement and morale, ultimately impacting the success of the
St. Vincent de Paul team and store.

Within the E-Commerce and Shipment Preparation Post, it is a responsibility to photograph merchandise, edit photographs, ensure merchandise is safely stowed, catalog merchandise on Ebay, address customer concerns and requests, and to package and ship merchandise when sold. The function and goal of this space is to increase the speed of production, unify photography quality among multiple photographers and keep merchandise safe.
